Tips & tricks

WHAT TO WEAR
For a natural look, I recommend neutral and earthy tones, such as cream, beige, warm brown, muted blue, olive or soft grey.
Try to avoid large logos, strong patterns, and very bright colours as they can take the focus away from you.
Choose colours that stand out from the surroundings rather than blending in. For example, avoid green in nature during summer.
If you're coming as a couple or family, you don't need to match. Instead, choose colours that complement each other.
And most importantly, choose something you can move and feel comfortable in.
where to go
The location can completely change the feeling of the photos. I love places that are a mix of different surroundings, like forest by a lake or the sea. Depending on the season and your preferences, we might choose a beach, forest, garden, city street, or one of Gothenburg's more characteristic neighbourhoods.
I’m happy to recommend a location based on the mood you're looking for.
When is THE BEST TIME FOR PHOTOS
Beautiful natural light is one of the most important part of my photography.
For outdoor sessions, I recommend the golden hours, shortly after sunrise or before sunset, when the light is softer and more flattering.
The exact time depends on the season, location, and weather.
What to do in front of the camera
If you don't know what to do, you're not alone.
Instead of placing you into a series of stiff poses, I'll give you simple prompts and gentle direction, like walk together and talk about your favourite memory from your relationship or whisper something funny in each other’s ear.
The goal is to capture the way you naturally are together.
how to spice up the PHOTO SESSION
You don't have to spend your session posing.
Let's do something you genuinely enjoy and capture the moments as they naturally happen.
- Meet at a café and enjoy a cup of coffee with some dessert.
- Share a pizza, have a drink, and laugh.
- Bring a blanket and some treats and have a picnic.
- Take a walk in a park, along the coast or in the city. Talk, hold hands, and explore.
- Take a boat trip and enjoy Gothenburg from a different perspective.
- Walk barefoot on the beach, sit by the water, or watch the sunset together.
- Go for a walk with your dog.
- Paint with the kids.
Do you have something else in mind? Tell me about it and let's make it a reality.
WHAT IF IT RAINS
If the weather is genuinely unsuitable, we'll find another date.
Although, a little wind, clouds, or even light rain doesn't necessarily mean we need to cancel.
Some of my favourite photos happen when the weather isn't perfectly sunny. Clouds create soft light and the wind adds movement to the photos.
WHAT TO BRING
Depending on your session, you might want to bring:
- A second outfit to mix it up a bit
- A favourite blanket for a family session
- Snacks and water for the children and pets
- Comfortable shoes for walking
- Something the kids can play with
What to keep in mind
You don't have to arrive perfectly prepared.
You don't have to know how to pose.
Your children don't have to behave perfectly.
And you don't have to be comfortable in front of a camera.
My job is to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can forget about the camera and enjoy being together.
